My wife works as a race rep and ski-tuner-tech kind of person for Head-Tyrolia/Holmenkol. She's off at a race-demo event today, and Holmenkol sent over a crate of tuning odds and ends. In it was this screwdriver, which she could tell me nothing about save that "you can't steal it." Looks pretty good for being 20-some-years old!

I was sufficiently smitten with to tell her to order a complete Phillips-Pozi-flat set! We'll see... Hopefully they'll be some kind of promotional item, and we won't have to pay for them!

Interesting...I've never seen a Tyrolia branded screwdriver! I used to work in a very small ski shop about 20 years ago, and it's where I used my first P3 screwdriver mounting bindings. It's strange the things we remember...

That would be VERY cool to have, and they might be a promotional item for tech's. If I knew things like that existed back in the day I would have asked...I got plenty of swag at the shows, but never any tools. I'd be interested in buying a set too...provided the price was reasonable :)

*yes, I was certified to mount bindings

Since it was made in West Germany that dates it to 1990 or earlier.

Yeah, yeah: I know what year the Soviet Union broke up! And I even know a few things about post-Soviet reunification and reconstruction...

I was just sharing a sweet screwdriver. And I'm going to venture it's identical to the flat-head posted by neophyte! Handle, shank, and labelling look the same...

I've got the working woman working on the set. Will post the details when they're available. But my guess, cburnscrx, is Austro-German plus ski-brand-specific is not going to add up to reasonable price! :D
