Random Spam URLs Linked to GJ

This just started happening this morning, only on gj...logged out and in, no change.

Thoughts?

Also has random videos...some rogue extension I didn't download?

Care to give some more information ? Did you reset your modem at the same time or clear cookies on the computer ?

you got the same virus i had it looks like...get a antivirus software and knock that stuff off...i think it has a "key logger" into it so don't purchase anything off line till ya get rid of it

I have norton and a seperate firewall, I haven't changed anything recently.

Norton wont pick that up, its junk and just hogs system resources anyways. I highly suggest you get some sort of spyware software and avg or avast anti-virus.

I used to have AVG, everyone was ragging on it...I haven't downloaded anything, so this is a mystery...Norton 360 scan didn't find anything.

No, it's just urls in random pieces of text; also video adds can pop up.

yeah man it's spyware extension on your browser and on the system...run a scan with norton and see if it picks it up...

i believe the name of the extension's "program" is like "network driver" or something similar...look for that in where you delete programs and get rid of it

Found the #ucker..."pureleads" somehow downloaded on the 3rd. It's going bye bye now.

edit: I managed to beat Norton...

I gave up Norton years ago when something got past it and we replaced the computer. I've been using iIcrosoft Security Essentials, surf the net with Google Chrome w/ Ad Blocker.

Another great piece of software for knocking out adware is MalwareBytes. just an FYI
