Range hood power cord wiring

Hey folks, I got an awesome deal on a Broan stainless steel range hood from Lowes. It was a open box return and has everything except the power cord. The y sell them for about $14, standard black, white and ground connections.

Anyone know exactly how I should wire it up? The manual says black to black,white to white and ground but the actual hood has a different layout.

Already did and thats how I got that awesome wiring diagram! (sarcasm, their diagram I posted is just a generic diagram, no good).

Look for the pig tailed wires,I've never seen 1 that was cord connected though.

if I were in your shoes....
I would go google up a genaric 3 speed fan.... that thing looks like a 3 speed fan...with a starting coil... and start from there... start from the switch? or start from the starting cap... ?


something like this and start breaking out that multimeter you have or don't have.... color coating might be different for Broan... there is also a model of that vent , maybe go to the manufacture site ?
