I got my Ranger R980 tire changer well used, and the turntable has always been a little loose/wobbly, so I need to be extra careful to prevent scratching the wheels. Does anyone know if this is normal wear and tear, and which one (if any) of these parts likely needs replacing? Other than the exploded parts diagrams, there's nothing in the user manual to diagnose, short of tearing the machine apart. Which I plan on doing, but would like to have an idea of what to look for first.

Who knows?
I picked up a Coats machine with the same problem.

Turns out someone neglected to keep the bolts tight that secured the table to the chassis of the machine. Over time they had gradually loosened and the owners thought the machine had worn out.
