Rapid air questions?

I thought about using it but wanted to put the regulator close to the hose reel. Compressor has 165 psi, so I assume I would have to use the 3/4 kit even though 1/2 would do what I needed except for the pressure. Any other suggestions?

What do you have that needs that kind of Pressure? My compressor is capable of 170Lbs but I don't have any tools that need it. My 80 gal was bought mainly for my air hog sanders. I bought 4 1/2 kits on sale at tsc Xmas clearance for 40 bucks apiece just to get the additional fittings. I think their pressure will be fine but have the option of a separate "high pressure " circuit if I desire. Just my personal logic.

I put a regulator and dryer close to the hose reel when I put in my Rapid Air 3/4" system. I looked at the 1/2" system and for the additional cost thought the 3/4 was the better buy.

I don't have anything that needs that kind of pressure but will use it to blow things off at full pressure. If I put a regulator close to the hose reel then the main lines would be under 165 PSI, so it looks like I would have to go with 3/4" kit.

That's how I'd do it, especially if you have any long runs.

Tank pressure throughout the whole system. Regulators as needed at individual outlets. Regulate as close to end use as possible.
