Sorry I don't know how to link from offer up. A version of the red and gray that I've never seen before is listed sold on Phoenix offer up under toolbox if someone can save the pics.

Not sure how to on my phone. I'm guessing it's one of the first red and gray boxes?

Cool, what would be considered a rare Craftsman box?

Here's one that is yet to appear on any forum, online sales site, or auction. 1961 Craftsman 8 drawer cabinet. 40" tall, 33.5" wide, 15" deep drawers and weighing in at 220lbs. One of these days!

I had one of those top tool boxes. They are a bit rare but not sought after so the prices are low. Here is a link to photos of the one I owned.

Is it made by the company before Waterloo? ABC or whatever it was, when the boxes were all gray...

I've seen enough pictures of these to convince myself they're Waterloo made, but even if I hadn't, I'd still say they were Waterloo for the following reasons:

1) The common gray & red boxes offered from 1960 through 1975 (before changing to red & charcoal) are all Waterloo. It's one of the rare occasions Sears appears to have made a hard change from one manufacturer to another (AMD/Remline to Waterloo)

And ...

2) The never before seen 8 drawer cabinet which I posted a catalog capture of, is Waterloo made (the ad states: "Sent freight (rail, truck) or express from factory, Waterloo, Iowa."), meaning Waterloo was making specialty boxes for Sears from the get-go.

It only makes sense that the "Jubilee" edition boxes are Waterloo as well.

At first glance I'd have said the OPs box was AMD as well. Along with all the good points Brian mentioned that support it being Waterloo, look at the distinctive half circles at the metal joints at the top of each side of the top chest. Definitely Waterloo. The only thing missing is the typical Waterloo dimples at each side of the lock (as far as I can tell from the photo).
