Let's post rare and unknown tools! I got this idea for the thread because my dad was going through his tools and as a joke gave me this Honda 12 point 10mm 12mm off set box end wrench. (Cause I like my Honda cars) are these rare? I never seen Honda wrenches.

What are some unknown or rare tools do you have?

Aerospace Wiring Kits by Daniels Manufacturing Company.

Each kit is aircraft model specific.

There's a company called "Labor Saving Devices" that make some nifty products for cabling/data techs.

My 2 favorites are the "wet noodle" (flexible magnet and chain), and a set of drill bits that can enlarge holes with wire in the holes, without damaging the wire. Their fish rods or glow sticks, are the best in the industry also.

Another favorite odd-ball tool I have is "CableCaster" crossbow, that you use to shoot pull string up to about 50 feet.

Why not merge with vintage-antique ? RARE---to me is " unknown to most 2 legged creatures, but in production today"
There are mountains of those . Mountain being one, Martin being another, Grip-On etc etc etc.
Unless you're a GJ tool junkie the average oxygen abuser decides he wants a top quality 'merkin tool set and screams off to Craftsman, credit card glowing. Even many(if not most) mechanics-parts changers only know of what comes off a truck, how much each piece costs per pay period, and assume everything else is garbage for rank " amateurs".
The big industrial guys sell kits by the hundreds to thousands to companies whose huge numbers of employees may use them daily for years on end and never even know the brand name.....nor could they give a ****.
Walk into a Holiday Inn breakfast buffet and yell " Anyone tell me what Knipex makes and I buy breakfast".
OR EZ-Red
Or Williams ( sunglasses-backpacks")
Wright Industrial.
Park industries
Brown and Sharpe
Metabo
Dynabride----makes your toilet sparkle !

Define "unknown" By whom ?

There are many trades and professions that use tools. This is a very simple question with a complex answer. Ever hear of GEM tools? They make clippers. Look into the manufactures of medical and dental tools. Brands I've never used.

We use a lot of DMC's crimpers and installation/extraction tools in my company's products. They're quiet pricey, but work extremely well. Knipex, Snap On, NWS, etc. don't even come close. Their safety wire tool is a huge time saver!

Also found this firestone socket.

I think the tools you are describing are referred to as custom branded

I have Kubota pliers with orange handles made by Wilde. Case IH mini pick set made by Snap-on. John Deere prybars and scrapers by Wilde.

Other examples are Cat tools, Harley Davidson by Snap-on/Williams and old IH tools by Wright

I would not include hand tools that were made to accompany a power tool or some other device but were made by somebody else. It is not really a tool brand to me
