Hi,
I'm Rat Rod Rick a retired GM engineer and hot rod builder from Detroit. My current project nearing completion is a 39 Ford pick up with tube frame, chopped top & small block Chevy powerplant. I also maintain a vintage midget race car. I have a small shop behind my home where I do most of my fabrication work. I'm a decent fabricator with mediocre welding & machining skills, but I have the support of some talented friends to prop me up when needed! Thanks for letting me join.

Welcome RRR! Ditto on the pics! I am west of Flint in Byron and have my own shop as well. I am working at the Milford Proving Grounds and love the work and the drive!

RRR: any pictures to post of that cool truck you described? i use the paperclip method just above where you write your posts to attach pictures sort of like attaching pictures to an email. you should work into our group easily and feel free to ask questions so we can help you if you need any while you are sharing what you know with us.

Cuda: i haven't seen you posting on the vise thread for ages and really miss your awesome posts. come back and share your thoughts again if you have any time. did you ever powder coat that Reed vise?

Sorry doll, I'm still totally swamped and trying to catch up -- it's tough to get much computer time lately. I hit a record this season with 34 jobs in line (and still no clones dammit lol) but have narrowed it down to the high teens the last couple of weeks. I'll try and check in around here more often.

The Reed's still on my bench with its vinyl jaw covers and gets used once in awhile, but I haven't coated it yet. No rest for the wicked ... but you'd know all about that. LOL
