Shameless, I know, but it may be of some assistance to you to know that I have a pair of T&B ERG2002 for sale or trade for significantly less than the asking price. Shoot me one for more info.

Quickster,

What is your review of the Waytek crimper? I had to postpone buying one at my workplace due to budget cuts, but it is still on my radar.

You proclaim to be a person that wants quality tools/results, so I am interested in your opinion. The Waytek (Pressmaster) seems to be a good value compromise for those who cannot justify several dedicated tools at $250+, but also don't want to purchase the Asian imitations.

Thank you for any input.

I love it, feels good in my hands. Seems to be making nice crimps on heat shrink connectors. I crimped a 16 gauge wire and pulled and pulled on the wire so see if the crimp would fail. The wire itself snapped, while the crimp didn't even flinch. **NOTE I did not apply heat and heat shrink the wire/terminal** So with the crimp and the adhesive heat shrink terminal I don't see any crimp failing for years to come.

I'm wanting to see how the crimp dies for weatherpack and metri-pack perform. Hoping to get some soon.

Ive seen that thread before on sailboatowners. Good thread.

What dies are in that one. I googled it and seen a few different dies in them on google images.

Knipex owns Rennsteig: *click!* :)

Thanks, I will check that out.
