I have seen organizers for just about everything in terms of hand tools.....but does anyone know if there is something for ratchets???? Something that would lay in the tool chest....not hang from anything

It should have spots for different lengths

I dunno I just dont like my ratchets laying in my chest....it would be nice to have something to hold them in keep them from bouncing around....and look nice at the same time

Nope... not that I know of. I think everybody lays them in their chest. Its nice to be able to go into the 3/8 draw and be able to grab everything in one shot.

Well that is true....but it would be especially nice to have all your 3/8's in a molded plastic holder moduler...like Facom does with there stuff...so they dont bounce and all that....it could hold like 3 different sizes....and then have a separate module for 1/4 and 1/2

Here is a plastic tray organizer that holds your sockets, and has holders for your 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 rachet wrenches:

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=36978

The rachet stub on the head sits inside a small hollow and the handle rests of a tab, they can't slide. All of the sockets sit on pegs. Everything stays put. I would buy one (to match their wrench holder I have) but I've already got the craftsman socket organizers

I have that same one from HF... I just wish it held more stuff. There seems to be a lot of wasted space. But for $10, I'll probably just buy another one and fill it up too.

I use a product similar to this http://www.toolfoam.com/. The stuff I have was already laminated and I got it about 20 years ago when I was in the Navy (for free). I have all of my Rachets and a few other odd tools stored in this stuff in the top of my toolbox. It makes it very easy to see if you are missing any tools when you are done working on a project.
