I picked up an Indestro 1/4" ratchet model 6072.

The two screws that hold it together are kinda jacked up. Any repair kits available?

Thanks

I've seen the occasional rebuild kit on ebay for the pearhead Indestro's.
Or you could just take the ratchet down to Ace Hardware and search thru their fastener bins. I made sure to get a sample of any SS screws I could get thru the warehouse and kept them stocked for just such jobs.

I would assume that a rebuild kit would cost more, or much more, than you paid for the ratchet.

They (Duro-Indestro) closed in 1990.

You can still find the sockets NOS at multiple stores around here… for less than import sockets.

They are 12pt, though… and this is the Midwest. They are not Flank Drive, either…

The most economical way to find parts would be to find a garage/estate sale ratchet or hardware store bins.

Most of those screws are silly sizes like 4-40 5/8” long. My Ace only has 4-40 up to 1/2. The 2-56 are non existent here, I bough a bag off eBay.

Might want to check McMaster Carr for the fastener once you get it figured out. It won’t be cheap, but it’ll be exactly what you ordered.
