Ratchet Problem

Recently my ratchet fell off a table and the spring and ball bearing came out and while trying to figure out how to fix it the ball bearing went back in and i cannot get it out again, is there any way to get it out so i can put the spring in first and then put the bearing back in? Dumb thing for me to do, even messing around with the bearing without the spring in it. Any way for it to be fixed?

Are you absolutely sure the ball bearing is still in there and it didn't fall out? When I do ratchet repairs, I do it inside my oblong Craftsman magnetic parts bowl. Everything falls out and sticks to it so nothing is lost. Did you try a magnet? Spray some wd40 or something up in the hole. Compressed air. Tweezers. Throw it in the dryer and hope it pops out...
You can also get a rebuild kit and cut the spring down so it sits at the proper height on top of the ball. Maybe you will invent some type of super smooth ratchet... Doubt it though..
