I had one in 1/2 drive and branded as Proto. I ended up giving it to a friend in need. The mechanism rough, lotta backdrag, and perhaps it is my sensitive lady hands speaking here, but it holds the distinction of being the only QR rat I've ever used that hurt my finger to hit button, in addition to being hard to hit bc of small button size. I picked it up cheap, thinking it would be good cuz it's a Proto, I think it's the only Proto tool I've ever given away.
Give me a Wright round head any day of the week. Buying used is good bc $ savings, not to mention Wrights need broken in, so someone else did that for you already. No QR or thumbwheel, two things mostly unimportant to me. However you could add one of the thumbwheel extensions, but it moves wheel to front like the Craftsman/Easco/Apex RHFT. IIRC those Stanley/Proto/Challengers are somewhat unique in thumbwheel placement. I forgot I also have a Challenger 1/4 version, action much nicer than the half, but excessive slop in head which the 1/2 didn't have, it actually felt brick *********-esque.
