Hello everyone!

I have not seen a Powers ratchet listed anywhere. It's a big pear-shaped head like a Snap-on, but uses a wound piece of spring steen instead of an e-clip or C-clip to hold everything in palvce.
Cleaned it all, greased it well, runs great, but I can't get the spring to go back in.

Am I better off to repair with a C-clip?

What do you think?

Yes,pics please. I've never heard of the brand. If it's a circular spring clip like a round head ratchet would have, you just start one end in the groove and continue all the way around till seated.

If it's a flat coil spring those can be a bit of a bear to get on - especially if things are freshly oiled!

Post a pic, But generally a good fitted c clip will work well. Use proper pliers or you'll end up stabbing yourself with the blunt end of a screwdriver.... Apparently!
