Anyone aware of any? I've searched long and hard and all i find are places claiming to be American Made, but upon inquiry state that they use Chinese ratchets and sew the ******** in the US.

That's pretty disingenuous and I'm not going to patronize that.

Anyone know of a real US made ratchet strap, 1" and 2"?

Thanks!

Are there even any of those ratchets made in the USA?

If not, you're not going to get the whole enchilada...

I dont think anyone makes the ratchets in the US. Like mentioned there are smaller companies that assemble North American made straps to the imported ratchets and hooks

Ancra is another cargo control company that has decent products. The red ratchet straps use a different material than Erickson or Kinedyne

What i hear from ratchet strap manufacturers is "we're not aware of any american made ratchet" as if its an excuse to label their chinese made product "made in USA" with the American flag. I won't buy from any of them for that reason alone. I'm looking for European made, though its sad there's no US made option.

Truck and Tow told me no one in the U.S. makes the ratchet assemblies. The strapping and the assembly labor is the best one can do for U.S. made. "Made in the U.S. with domestic and imported parts" is what the label should read. Just like our cars.

I feel your pain, AmericanMechanic. Where is the device you're posting on here made?

The spec's for both of them say, "Type of Tension Device: Kinedyne 800 Ratchet"

Searching for "Kinedyne 800 Ratchet" - I find this Amazon listing that says:

Kinedyne 800 1" Wide Handle Ratchet Buckle 1100 Lbs WLL
by Kinedyne Corporation

Good Quality Material
Designed for easy use
Country of Origin: China
