I have a Matco BR4T ratchet. Would like to upgrade with finer tooth mechanism. Do you guys know of an availible kit that would fit? How much does it cost and where do you buy it? Thanks ......:willy_nil

If my google research is correct, this is a 36 tooth ratchet?

If so, then no, you can't upgrade the internals that I'm aware of.

You can upgrade the 60 tooth models because most of the 60/80/84/88 tooth Apex/Danaher ratchets have interchangeable mechanisms.

I had that ratchet....and it is VERY course! I loved the handle but when I used it felt like a Craftsman RP ratchet. I tried putting in a 60 tooth Armstrong kit in it but it didn't work....the ratchet is built to different compared to the Armstrong/Matco 60 tooth. I would get an Armstrong 88 or 60 tooth ratchet to replace it. You can get them on Harry Epsteins for around $40. Worth the money for sure!
