$25? That's a much better price than in the auctions I looked at. I guess I just have to keep my eyes peeled. I will look for the Proto as well. Thanks for the replies.

I also have the snap on, but got a set from toptul, Mike sent them to me and they look great, the 3/8 is the same as the 1/2 but with a 3/8 hole instead of a 1/2 so I would take it the 3/8 should be pretty strong and I think they are 72 teeth, like the sk roto head and genius/toptul roto heads design. It might be cheaper then getting a used one, just a thought.

Just my opinion....that price for the S O is insane. I think if my prices were that high I would either sponsor my own NASCAR team or invest with Bernard Madoff!!!

It's expensive, but at some point you have to charge a certain amount for your products in order for people to take them seriously. Matco used to be the least expensive of the truck brands, but since they've raised their prices up above Snap-on for some of their tools, they've increased their sales dramatically.

Based on that theory, Yugo's would have been a success if they sold for as much as Cadillac...:bounce:

You know, I have heard that idea before.
I think many people, usually young from 'comfortable' families don't respect anything that isn't expensive.
Us older guys and people from poorer families prefer something based on its quality, not its price.

Lots of people hate getting a good deal, lots of people want to pay more… But I have no idea why.

Chris...what it does determine is who has a savings or investment account and who doesn't....usually.

Also, Walmart pretty much killed their competition in the beginning with low prices. I do not want to be them, I want to be right in between the big boys and craftsman. I need to have lower prices in the beginning because of the new brand.
But When I do raise them, I'll make sure I tell them that Merk told me too!

Merry Xmas
