If you had your druthers and could only buy one set, would you rather have a ratcheting flarenut set or a 6-pt flare crowfoot set?

PS - let's say the same brand for each.

crowsfoot
one nice thing about the crowsfoot line wrenches is that you put it on the end of a 3/8 breaker bar and you have a second line wrench for when you need two of the same size like when you are assembling lines and such

If I could only buy 1 style of line wrench, it'd be a flare nut crowfoot. You can even use them on a breaker bar in place of a standard line wrench.

Its a toss up to me. I really haven't ever needed crows feet but I am sure someday I will and I think those ratcheting ones are ****.

I think the real Question is, Why not both :lol_hitti

$$$, my friend, especially in this economy & the necessity for a rarely used item.

The above posts have swayed me to the 6-pt flare crowfoot, and will probably go SO since they have the best reviews insofar as not losing their shape under pressure.

While you gentlemen are at it, could you please see my thread earlier today: "About to purchase a Torque - Need your inputs," and please chime in, as the opinions on this forum are valued in guiding purchases. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37402

Thanks, RHP
