Yesterday I spent the entire day out in the shop reworking welding leads. Construction people are notorious for destroying stuff... They will drag the leads down the road.... run over them with a backhoe... throw them in the truck then drop a one ton gang box on them... so I got to install about 20 new stingers, ground clamps and plugs as well as cut out all the bare and cut sections of lead...
The standard in the welding field is a 7/32" hex set screw... so I removed and tightened about 40 of them my nifty Proto hex set... today I can hardly hold a cup of coffee. It didn't take long to recognize the advantage of ratcheting mechanism. (I didn't have any hex sockets with me)
Does anyone make a decent set of ratcheting hex keys ?? I don't particularly need a high torque deal... I can always crank them down tight with a single wrench... but the running up and snugging would certainly go easier with ratcheting...
thanks
John
