I picked up the Torin 6-ton locking-pin jack stands and they're awesome. Welds look good, locking pin slides in fairly easily, the handle drops all the way/pawl engage how it should as you ratchet the beam up and they sit squarely on the ground. I used them for an oil change yesterday on my lowered '51 Ford F-1 and I really liked them.

I’ve seen the Torin stands advertised but haven’t seen them in person. From the photos it looks loke the base is pretty small so I was/am concerned with rocking. How stable are theywhen extended fairly high?[/QUOTE]

I hope the Torin 6-ton are more confidence inspiring than the 2- and 3- ton Big Red Stands. The ones I got from Tractor supply scared the you-know-what out of me.

I just Got some pro-lifts with locking pins. I like them.

Same here. I needed at least a pair, ordered 2 at $49.95 each from Amazon. Turns out there was a pair in each box. Really nice stands and the secondary lock instills confidence. I got the 6-ton (per pair). Each one says “6 Ton” on it but the fine print says per pair. I ended up using all 4 of them at once workin on the suspension of my truck.
