How well do they work? I've never used them but if they work ok, they would come in handy at work on some situations. I'm looking into some Armstrongs fwiw.

I use them on my BCS hand tractor. Actually the 19mm mainly as the nut to put on the attachments is a fine that that takes forever with a normal open end. Specific situations like that make them handy, but only for that. i have the older US and newer China Craftsman, both work for my purpose.

they work realy nice.they have their place though.like all tools.theres so many versions its hard to make up your mind on what style one wants.long, short. extra long. flex.all come in handy but can get expensive.most all brands r made by gearwrench just another name on them.

I just bought a set of Snap-on metric ratcheting open end/box end wrenches with a big question mark over my head. After using them a few times, I already am loving them.
I did a bit of "testing" by hooking the open end on a nut that would have taken alot of torque to remove and to my surprise, the open end held on much better than I had expected. I did not break the super-tight nut loose because I already was applying significantly more force than what I would have been comfortable with. I was amazed.
However, I wouldn't recommend them for breaking or tighten fasteners though. Use the standard wrench (or socket) for that, and use the ratcheting combo afterward.
