I have large pipe sections which I need to cut into pieces before disposing. I could use an electric cut off tool, but prefer to go the long way and use a Ratcheting Tube and Pipe Cutter instead just for more effort. Any recommendations on Ratcheting Tube and Pipe Cutters ?

This Craftsman model claims it can cut a larger diameter than most other cutters available, but doesn't look sturdy.

What sort of material and why do you need a ratcheting cutter?

It looks like you are sub 1" material based on that cutter.

For plastic you want a plastic tubing cutter.

For everything else, use a hack saw. Tubing cutters are for making usable straight cuts and ratcheting cutters are for when you can't get a standard cutter to go all the way around.

They make ones which go up to 2" as well if I'm not mistaken. Was going to use this on all steel pipe.

Will be using this on Copper pipe soon in the not so distant future. Hopefully will last. According to Craftsman, works on multiple materials, including PVC.

I can say that the cutter wheel will not hold up to many cuts in steel, I recently made a lumber real with 1/2 inch galvanized pipe and went through 3 cutter wheels for 30 odd cuts

Exact same tubing cutter is on sale at Menards for $19.97. Was gonna buy 1 at sears and checked menards to price match. Ordered the Menards one saved $10.00 plus dollars towards next new tool.

that will **** cutting steel pipe. pipe cutters are much bigger and heavy duty. that is a tubing cutter for up to 1" copper. Pvc cutters are more like scissors cutters. It is not really a 1 cutter fits everything kinda world
