Hijacking here. That thing is sweet! Where you get the flares? Im going to be in the market for an mr2 soon. Aiming for an early 90's. But if all else fails late 80s. I think they are beautiful cars. Nice ride man.

If I was going to buy flex, I'd go non locking. That way you have unlimited positions to work with, instead of 5. A tip when you get flare nut, I'd go flare nut crows foot wrenches. Then you don't have to get wrenches then crowfoot. :)

Ya thats exactly what I was thinking, more usable range of motion. Hmm that is a very good tip there man, I like that idea.

haha thank you man. I got the flares from the Z store for nissans lol. O, very nice good to hear. I love those mk2's. They are by far the best looking of all 3. Drop dead stunning if its clean. Supposedly they handle really good like the mk1 too. Thank you very much man, I really appreciate that!

On the other end of the spectrum I won't use a flex ratchet unless it locks. Like my extendable Stanley in 3/8. But everyone finds what they like best.

Say, where do you call home? I think the flares really set that car off. Especially with the small offset. Sorry to go off tanget with the car. Lol can't resist mr2s.

Which type do I like?/ All of them... These wrenches are made in many different configurations for a multitude of different tasks.... Some tasks are best suited with a flex-head,,, some tasks are best approached with a long handled straight.... Will any one type be prefect for every task???? no... Which set is best to purchase first?? It is hard to beat a set of 15degree offset reversible......

I was thinking about pulling the trigger on some ratcheting wrenches finally, and then it seems sears is having a decent sale on gearwrenches. might be a sign that I really should go get a set. could've used the 10mm at the junkyard last weekend lol.

Do you use them as much as you thought you would?

Which type do you prefer? 0 offest, 15 degree offset reversible switch, non locking flex head, locking flex head, or the twist beam styles?

I think Im leaning towards 15 degree reversible (about 40/45 at sears this weekend), or the non locking flex heads (about 50/55 on ebay)

Non locking Flex head is the most useful, I guess. It can be flat and offset. Obviously, it is the most versatile wrench. But I don't like Locking flex head. Hand tools have to be simple and sturdy.

Hmm good point. Ok cool, sounds good about hard to beat a 15 degree reversible. Im glad i made the right choice.

Hmm sounds pretty good to me. I still want a set. Its gonna have to wait a little bit though. Oh really? what you think they're too bulky?
