My new favorite 3/8" is the Matco 88 locking flex, comfortable, smooth and tough.

Otherwise, it's been my Gearwrench 1/4" and 1/2". They replaced my older CMans. I also have a 3/8" GW flex that is in my car.

I know it is a coarse tooth ratchet, but the Proto pear heads I have are some of the smoothest ones I've used. I usually end up pulling those out when space isn't an issue (they're a bit bulky), otherwise the Cornwell or Snap On ratchets come out.

the matco 88's can they take a lot of force, like the snap on's dual 80's claim too? should the 3/8 drive 88 matco take 100 pounds of torque with no problem? not that ill be abusing it i just want a good sturdy ratchet that wont fail me. i have a proto pear head 3/8, damn good ratchet, but it doesnt get much use.
