Mega years ago, I knew the owner of Walden Tool. They went out of business in the 1990's. I was surprised to learn that at one time, they made tools for Snap On. He was an interesting person, and we always got along well. He drove an Oldsmobile diesel, that was one of the few that never failed. His son still lives near by, but I haven't seen him in a number of years. Funny thing is that his son is now the fathers age when I first met the father. Strange how we get so old so fast, but it seems just like it was yesterday. Now, there is a McDonald's where the factory once stood...

The son of the Walden tool factory owner - he ran Worcester Tool Factory Outlet before selling the property to developers - now sells boats somewhere on Cape Cod. If interested in contacting him, my good friend is in touch with him regularly.
I dealt with him a few times - quite a nice guy, very generous!

One of the few remaining original buildings from the Plomb Los Angeles campus houses a Chinese toy import business. Gives me the same sort of empty feeling.
