Umm, if a breaker bar ratchets, isnt it no different than a long handled ratchet? I thaught the idea of a breaker bar was that it DIDNT ratchet, therefore there were no teeth to break during high torque applications.

The less stuff, offsetting the handle from the contact point, the easier to keep the socket on straight from the end of the handle. This is what makes a pipe over a boxend wrench so nice. ;)

No kidding.... just go buy yourself a 24" Matco 1/2 ratchet. Or, use an 18" one from Allen like I did.

matco tools sell 1/2dr 24in long handle ratchet for 180 dollars:wtf: .....(it is flex head)

i own snap on 1/2dr 24in long breaker bar and i have no problems when i did break loose then change to my old snap on 15in long handle 1/2dr ratchet ( i own two) and it work good... i did a lot of cylinder heads works while it is under warranty per TSB....

Just stick a 2 or 3 foot piece of pipe on the end of your ratchet........Just kidding although I have done that to a breaker bar.

This ratchet can take a serious dose of abuse and keeps ticking. My boss stripped the threads on a pitman arm puller and proceded to snap an arm off another one with this thing. Both truck brand pullers. Handles torque like you wouldn't believe.
