Thanks for that! That comes to the princely sum of $400NZ, which is what I can get a set of Williams standard and stubby metric wrenches, and $30 change! Ouch!

I think the Gedore prices are reasonable since the sets come in a metal case with plastic tool tray.

You also need to factor in at least 30 euros for international shipping, so that off set the 19% you saved on VAT.

Would you get a set that has a 8,10,11,13,17 and 19 or a set that is 10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 and 19.

8MM is very useful

Granted you aren't in the USA, but the Blue Point set is 8-19 and if you look on eBay (in the USA) good condition used fixed head sets for for around $100 all the time. I've had mine near 10 years and yet to strip one out or have one single problem with them. Money well spent. :)

That gedore looks tempting, it looks like a 72t.

Ebay is where you find deals on proto ;)

I have tried the spline on hex, and the do not grab at the corner but a bit further in. So it does not round the nut. I am have started to use spline on allot with my ratchets set, not I have spline with my wrenches. :)

i love the armstrong reversible sets I've got.

since buying them, I've only used those, in lieu of where i would have used a ratchet previously.

This is the size of the proto next to my craftsman pro long pattern. It is a good length for working on thing.
