I always found it a pain to run a hose around the front of the house to hose things out or to walk around to get some water in a bucket. The hose bib for the front yard was on the opposite side of the garage wall. Opened up the wall and split it off to have water supply in the garage. Had an extra hose reel laying around so mounted that overhead and then put a hose bib and a shut off for the reel inside of a washing machine hook up box and painted the copper to match. Just need to get a decent hose and a hanger for it to hook up to my roll around swamp cooler. Don't mind the cell phone pics

Bit too neat for my liking. :p
If it was my place, the reel would be an old bent alloy rim, shutoff valve would be whatever old tap was lying around, and the pipe would run on the outside of the wall with the box being made of 3 different types of timber.

Does the air chuck dispense the water ok? I imagine it has a bit of a pressurre at the tip.

I like it.

It has some pressure with that nozzle on there but not a lot of volume due to the 3/8 hose im guessing. I used it to hose out the garage and it was good for getting in the cracks. A regular size garden hose would make the job a lot easier. I will probably end up swapping the nozzle for a different one to just fill up buckets or other low pressure stuff

Thats how my old house would have been. Keeping this one clean. Or at least going to try:D

Thanks all. I also had a column seperating the two garage doors that was hollow so i opened it up and drywalled the inside. Added another hose reel in there for air but still need to pllan and plumb the copper for all the outlets. Going to add a few shelfs in there to keep other things out of the way. The new opening is about 7-8' high, 28" deep, 13" wide. Next on the list is to insulate the doors

OK I'll nitpick, you should have a vacuum breaker on that hose bibb in the laundry box to eliminate the chance of any back siphonage of contaminated water from the hose when it's attached to it.

I'll throw one on when I pick out my hose. It should bring the outlet right to the edge of the box which should also help keep any drips out of the box

Great job reclaiming that space between the doors!

Maybe use some drawer slides and make pull-out trays or drawers?

Also could be a good place for some brooms or ladder...I hate leaning things like that up against the wall.

Regards,
Anthony

Thought about that as well. I think if I go with some sliders then will most likely put some cabinet doors over it. Was going to do the brooms but seems like waste of space. I'm thinking about a few shelves for battery charger, my small welder, and a jump box.
