rating plate on furnace missing

Hello everyone,its been some time since I was last on here...But maybe some of you can help me.I have a Keeprte gas furnace installed new in Jan 91.The rating plate is missing and it needs a cleanng other than that it works fine and has never quit on me............My problem is the gas company has "red tagged it" they say until its serviced and a proper rating tag can be affixed it cannot be put back in service......I know its a 69,000 btu unit with a standing pilot light(not sure when keeprite stopped mfg.of standing pilot lights)I know Keeprite is a brand mfg.by ICP.(int.comfort products out of Lewisburg TN.)I dont see a phone # on their website.........does anyone know where there might be another id.or serial number on the unit.......the heat exchanger was checked for CO.emmision and came up negative,the burners are working fine and no gas leaks were detected..........The gas is turned off at the meter and it has a lock on it.............thanks Kirk

If the gas company "red tagged it" your only option may be to have an HVAC service company come out. At 22 years old and with a standing pilot, it might be in your best intrest to just replace it.

I need to identify the unit or there is no point servicing.there must be somewhere on the furnace other than rating plate that might indicate this thanks

There will be only one rating plate on the furnace and if it is missing then the furnace is no longer "approved" as in certified. There are insurace ramifications to this as well.

At this point you are likely going to have to replace the furnace to clear the red tag infraction as Keeprite is very unlikely to send you a rating plate for a furnace they no longer manufacture.

The gas company is Enbridge?
