I have a bunch of these. In fact, I use these for everything. They are the best plastic rail I know of. They have very little flex even with 1/2" deep well sets. If you are familiar with the rails that Gearwrench sockets come in, they are the exact same rails. You could go to AdvancedAuto and ask to check out one of the sets to get a feel for them.

I recently purchased enough to do all my sockets from ntxtools and they had to backorder a few pieces. I was happy in the end, but it took close to a month to get everything.

KD mechanics hand tools was killed off a few year ago to provide for Gearwrench's expansion. KD still makes specialty tools though but, no wrenches, sockets, ratchets, etc.
Most if not all online tool vendors use the KD or KDT prefix for Gearwrench tools. I think this goes back to the Easco days. Gearwrench started out as a line of tools under the KD brand but, it ended up replaceing the KD brand. :(
Those rails are ok. You may want to check cripe distributing as they often have them for sale at reduced prices. Look under Gearwrench, Napa, and Kd brands though.
The rails are nice but, I prefer the craftsman/vim/matco versions for a slightly lower profile that's US made. The Gearwrench ones are imported.

Thanks for the feedback!

John mentioned using them with deep sockets - is anyone using them with deep impact sockets? Does plastic-lug/ball arrangement do a good job holding heavy sockets like deep impacts?

At work the boss has his axle socket set on one, its the Matco 1/2" dr. 30mm-36mm deep impact 6 pc set and it holds up well. I've carried it upside-down for about 30ft from his box to mine and never dropped a socket off of it yet.
