As I understand it.....you can put a splice in a conduit body if the size is noted on the body.....and the area is at least twice the area of the largest pipe going to it....and the volume large enough for the size and number of wires....Correct?

314.16 (c)(2).says if volume is marked on them you can splice,device,or tap.
