Paid $10 for this one about a month ago. Loved the logo. The history of the company is pretty interesting as well. It came out pretty okay, except the chuck is completely seized on and is not in very good condition, so it’s not the best drill to use. But it sure was fun to restore.

Even if it was in mint condition, I would not consider that “the best drill to use”. Those drills excel most at prematurely ruining wrists.

It’s purely a wall hanger for me. Looks good in my 3D printing station. I’d only ever bust it out to drill small pilot holes purely for novelty’s sake if I ever use it.

My best Restore find was a $0.50 cold chisel marked as coming from the Central Pacific Railroad. The CP was the western part of the Transcontinental Railroad, which met up with Union Pacific in Utah. It was absorbed by Southern Pacific in 1880, so the chisel is at least that old!

I would put that in a First aid kit...
to give CPR to some of the hard Hearted people I have known!
Nice find, I always check for Railroad markings, even on abused or rusty tools.
