Re-wiring my shop

The wording in the NEC says USE only rated wire is to be terminated on the outside of the structure. Terminated in an outside panel is okay.

Damn, the USE-2 is going to be twice the price of running URD. Maybe I should run URD to a junction box on the outside wall and a short piece of SER through the wall. A J-box has got to be less than the cost difference of the two wires over the 90 foot run.

That is how the previous owner did it here on the shop end, except he did the transition in the LB. I didn't read the wires but they were different.
