So, i'm quite pissed off at my Mac AR778 for having the head shearing off for the 3rd time in about 4 weeks, and after having rebuilt it with a new anvil for the 4th time, I'm not sure i trust Mac tools quality control anymore. Having stated that I'm in the market for a new Air Ratchet (already have the milwaukee m12 fuel series in 1/4 and 3/8s) and i've been looking into the reactionless ratchets. Problem is its damned hard to find a reactionless ratchet here in Canada, and after having searched theres alot of talk about kuani gear but Nobody carries the things! So I'm reaching out to the ever knowing Hive mind that is Garage journal to try and find some help! Does anybody know where to get one of these things besides having to import a Harbor Freight version?

An old post from a thread about reactionless air ratchets ...

The Home Depot Husky reactionless, the Sunex reactionless, and the Harbor Freight Earthquake impact ratchet are all the same and made by a Taiwanese air tool maker.
Astro Pneumatic's is made by Gison of Taiwan I believe.
Northern Tools (Hydraulics) has a reactionless in their house brand Klutch.
Autozone has a reactionless in a brand called OEM.

All of these models use twin pin hammer impact mechanisms, so technically, they are all impact tools.

The Husky comes with a two year warranty. The Earthquake has a 2 year warranty available for just over 10 bucks.

MAC used to sell an impacting air ratchet many years ago (AR38RP) which was made by the same company that made your AR778 (SP Air). AFAIK, SP Air was the first to come out with an impactig (reactionless) air ratchet.
The very same impacting air ratchet is offered in Canada under the SP Air name. Check out the G2S Equipment catalog as I started seeing them advertised from a couple years ago.
I've been using mine for 5/6 years and it's still doing its thing.

I have a IR one for years used in a commercial environment. I love it. I would never use a regular air ratchet larger than 1/4" if it's not reaction less.

I use an sp air, impacting air ratchet. If you dont just mash the trigger randomly, its reactionless. My Hf unit lasted about a year, detent ball fell out and a rebuild kit for a similar clone was 2/3 if what I paid for the tool.

Yours looks like an sp air clone, but SP makes more than one ratchet. How is the drive anvil failing?

yes, i've done my research and checked the forum's read my post, and i stated in Canada, Can not buy things at harbor freight because they don't exist up here, and that husky ratchet is only available in the USA.

There is no way to order off HF site and have it shipped to you or a friend?

Edit-Looks like they do ship to both Canada and Australia

Well, the most common point of failure on the head is the gears on the anvil strip off, but the last two failures is the actual head snaps in half. But as a note I can tell ypu3 guys the sp air seal heads are not the same as mac tools. They have different designed heads. And the Anvils are not interchangeable.

The G2S equipment catalog is available from most larger parts store chains. They have the SP 7730 made in Japan ratchet and a AirCat 803RW composite ratchet. If you are in the west G2S ships out of Edmonton.

I thought HF = Princess Auto up in the Great North?

In a lot of ways it is,but that doesn't mean they have all the same products though. For example they might not have the same selection of air tools as HF but I can go there and buy rims, ties, 6000lb axles, lights, ball hook-up, and all the wiring supplies to build a trailer.....

I can get sp air air tools from the g2s catalog here in Edmonton. Both my mac dealer and snap on dealer are distributors, but I generally get the best deal through my mac dealer. I’m sure there are non-truck dealers that sell g2s stuff in the area. You didn’t specify where in Canada you are but even if you don’t have any g2s dealers in your area you can probably order sp air online for equal or cheaper prices compared to mac tools. Doesn’t make much sense to pay the shipping to import harbor freight to me, you should be able to find whatever they rebrand under a different brand for less on amazon.ca.

THIS^

Check G2S Equipment. They wholesale to a lot of indy tool stores and machine shops etc.

I think I remember seeing them carry the kuani brand too.

SPAir and Mac do have some history together I think. Pretty sure the MAC angle head cut off tool/die grinder was a SPair. I woudnt be too surprised if they worked together on other tools as well.
