Just found this site found a lot of good information. About ready to pull the trigger on purchasing a gas garage heater. It’s for a detached barn . Have already installed gas line and insulated walls and ceiling . The barn is 24x40 10 foot ceilings. After researching probably going to get a 75000 btu Modine or sterling. Like to hear your input on either brand price is about the same. Plus like to know your opinion on having a closed chamber unit , barn will be used mostly for woodworking and occasionally for spraying sealer. Thank you

If you are creating wood dust or spraying combustibles, you should get a heater with a closed combustion system.
I have owned Modine but not Sterling. I had some issues with Modine. I found Reznor to be very trouble free in numerous locations for over 20 years.

Zero problems with a Modine HD75 for the past 13 years. The only maintenance I do is blow it out really well every fall.
