Once the MaxJax is already installed, and you take it down to make room in your shop, what is the "real" setup time of the MaxJax? 15 minutes? 10 Minutes?

Mine is to be installed next week. I have a very small 20x20 garage. Each side has including backside has workbenches so right there, I already lose 2 foot per side of usable space. So, my 20 wide becomes 16 wide. My two VW buses are 5.5' wide so makes for rather tight squeeze now.

Would be great to leave the MaxJax connected 24x7 but maybe, if she goes together quick, I will have the lift installed right in the middle so I have full room around the cars when working on them. Only issue is now a 2 car parking becomes 1 car unless I take down the lift all the time.

Part of me was thinking have on lift point about 3 foot from the side wall and leave that one on 24x7 and then just remove the middle one when not needed so all I have to do is take and put up one. Just not sure if having one post 3 foot from side wall is a good idea, like I loose some work around space.

Anyway, if you had a 20x20, with workbenches on all 3 walls, how would you do it?

I was also thinking remove one side of the workbences and then have the both posts up all the time might work if I park ride #2 real close to side wall, etc... if that makes sense.

I wish I had a 24x24.

I just finished my install today. I leave one post in place, the other takes about 4 minutes to bolt down, another 3 to hook up hoses and power cord...
