Somebody just posted this on CL for 120 plus tools, does it look like a real snap on box?

zkling, thanks for the info. I thought the top was open like a peg board style, thought it might be good for hanging body hammers and dolly and such in the draws, now I have to rethink of a use for it.

I'm on it, emailed the guy and ask to buy the box only-waiting for reply!

Nice find, just check the bottom for rust. If it is just surface rust are you going to leave the patina or do a restore?

With all the tools they include, it looks like a great deal. Almost buy some tools and get a free box. I hope you get it.

WOW, those are very rare, to my knowledge. I can't imagine many where you live. I would buy it, if I had the extra space and cash.

It is a 1960's KRD-340. The top compartment is really sweet. I have never seen one outside of the catalogs.

Wow!! My first thought was someone cobbled that together from a hand truck and a couple of toolboxes. I'd never seen such a thing. That is great!

So i'm late to the party by about 7 years?! Well I just picked up a Snap On KRD-340 that's in great original condition!
The only thing mentioned on the internet is this thread, and the collecting snap on website. Any idea what these might be worth? I considered it a craigslist SCORE even before knowing what it was.
Any help or info is appreciated.

I'm no expert. In some rural areas you could probably put it up for $250 and it would sit forever. Or for $400 it might be gone in two minutes. On eBay who knows, it could go crazy.

$500 bucks is what it sold for on craigslist. After cleaning it up didn't seem like a bad price to me.

Never saw one of those, pretty funny to see a hand truck toolbox.
