Royce is now also a pin striper?

Capt,
Not in any sense of the word.
But with that said,I have a buegler striping tool that I try to use.
I find it makes me very nervous when I try to use it and get sub standard results.
Maybe, if I stay with it, I'll get more proficient.
Anyhow, got some stripes made this afternoon.
I'm not satisfied with the color combination, the design or quality of the lines.
May just repaint the whole thing.

Well then,
After talking to the project manager, we/she thought a burnt orange color was in order.
She picked some up today and I/we got a coat on this afternoon.
It looks a lot like campbell's tomato soup, which is OK by me.
She/we like it

I think that sort of paint job is a mistake. Personally, it would have looked the best if you would have just touched it up a bit more with the grinder (see your last shot before painting) and clear coated it. It would show that it was beautifully hand crafted and show the materials.

With the paint it looks like another unit out of a chinese factory... imo.

There are folks about that make custom steelwork, railings, cabinets, etc. mostly finished in the black oxide, ground edges mode. It looks good.

Thanks for sharing! Awesome stuff!

Put some stripes on a test panel this afternoon.
It works on the panel, to my eye.
I got no distractions in the morning, so I'll give the striping a go then.
Thanks all

Royce

I hope I never try to pinstripe a corkscrew again.
That was a sure enough exercise in frustration.
It is rough and the effect is not what I had anticipated, but will do.
Anyhow, it is done and I'm happy to move on to something else.

Corkscrew....

Hmmm if you would mount a wine bottle opener to the top of that thing, it'd probably sell for $$$ to those with a wine cellar.

something like this.
