Rear spring low profile garage door opener

Hello, I have a client that has a 10' x 10' sectional garage door who needs a opener. I'm looking for suggestions. Thought I could use a wall mounted opener and mount it flat to the ceiling but both Liftmaster and Genie say it wont work but cant give me an explanation why not. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I know I'm late to the party here, but one of the doors on my barn is set up exactly like your pics. I have been thinking of installing a Liftmaster exactly as you propose. I can't think of any reason why it won't work. I have two Liftmaster jackscrew openers on another building, using traditional installation locations - love 'em. Did your client go with the ceiling mount installation, and how did it turn out?
