Reasonable priced usa sockets

Where should I get some sockets from. Only need 3/8 metric shallow left. The rest are armstrong, proto, mac made in usa. Got them from ebay but can't find my last set. Where should I go to? Thanks!

What's reasonable? New or Used? Armstrong, Proto, SK, Williams, Snap-On, Wright, etc..

Williams USA from Tools Delivered or Proto from Zoro during a flash sale.

It will probably be hard to beat those for quality / price ratio.

I see, where... not what. SK usually is good on Amazon and Toolpia. Wright is HJE, Toolbarn or Amazon. Zoro and Grainger carry some of the other brands. EBay will have them as well.

Proto j52212 on Zoro. 8-19mm. $55.60 free shipping. Williams msb-20hrc industrial supply denver. 5.5-24mm. $72.53 + shipping. Toolsdelivered is cheaper on the Williams, but they never have it in stock. Williams is the winner for number of sockets. Proto has bigger identification markings. Two quality sets for what I consider a reasonable price!

Williams is exactly what everyone here asks for - Snap On sockets, with less spit and polish, no truck service/expense, marketed to DIYers, available on line, for little money. For those who can't afford or don't desire US tools, they even have a cheaper grade of Taiwan sockets.

Get Williams. I don't think 6mm or 24mm 3/8" sockets are helpful. I'd get the smaller set. 8-19 + 21 is fine.

A new SK set off Amazon or eBay. Or wait it out till something comes along. 90% of my tools are from eBay.

Why USA?

I would look for NOS or used Craftsman if you want something decently priced.

Keep looking on eBay and check HJE and Cripe.

USA CM (Apex) are strong sockets, but the chrome finish and the lack of finish on the insides are less than ideal.

My vote goes to Williams.

Thanks guys! I am looking for 6pt and have found out was getting very time consuming to try and find a specific set. I've read some other threads on here so thought I'd join. Thanks for the help and now I've got an idea of some places other than ebay I can look.

Blackhawk is kind of like what Williams is to Snap On. Though, Williams is an industrial brand, as is Proto. I think Blackhawk is just a cheaper made tool, used to attract a different customer base. The reason I compare it like that is because Williams has USA made and Taiwan made, just like Blackhawk has.

With that said, I used Blackhawk USA wrenches today to install hydraulic lines on a tractor. They get the job done just the same as my Snap On's...

I also purchased 3 different sets of Blackhawk USA by Mac when Mac had a sale on them online. Same as Proto. All under Stanley umbrella. They are excellent quality. Deep broach, great chrome, engraved sizes. Perfectly made sockets IMO.

That Duro set looks really nice. Too bad I have a bunch of SK. To the OP: If you could live with a few being 12 pt, here's a set to consider:

If you have a Menards near you their store brand, Masterforce, is made in USA. They used to have a 9 piece 6 pt socket set which has been discontinued. There are many stores though that still have them in stock. These are made by Apex tools. (Which last I heard is owned by Bain Capital)
