Condition looks great but kinda an odd configuration I think the problem would be finding a buyer who is interested in that particular set up. I had a similar top box but it was taller with more drawers. Think I sold it for $200 about eight years ago (just the top). Is that roll cap really short? Don't think I've seen that one before. I'd say $400-500 for the set but that's just me and a WAG. Any more than that and I'd be looking at a new larger box from Harbor Freight, etc. Again just my personal opinion.

For clarity, it's not just the top box that's for sale-- it's the top box, plus two middle boxes, and the rolling cabinet. The whole set is about five feet tall altogether, and about 26" wide.

I'd bet if there was any offer around $700 it would be wise to take it. The item looks to be in great condition, however, the demand is what will drive the price down. Not a whole lot of love for those style of boxes.

I respectfully disagree.

The top box is one of the best made and same for the two middle chests with 3 drawers, which are identical.
The bottom box, I don’t even know what that thing is.

I think the two 3 drawer middle chests will sell for around ~ $200 each in good shape.

So that leaves $300 for a short top and small roller...sounds about right. I would say even $700 would take the right buyer, selling a single middle separate and listing the rest for $500 may be a faster option.

I'm not actually the seller of these; I'm a potential buyer. The seller is asking a whole lot more than what folks here have estimated so far... about $2200 for the four pieces.

For $2200 you should easily be able to find a much better option pretty much any day of the week.

That's clearly a "for sale not on sale" kind of price and I'd expect the seller doesn't have a whole lot of interest in selling them.

Or doesnt see the difference between this and a wider box. "It's the same sqft of drawer space!" And "Obviously Snap On increases in value, because...."

Buy this and a few cans of spray paint spend the rest on tools. No affiliation with seller but he is also in Massachusetts.

It will need a lot of time and effort in addition to the paint. Huge prep work.

I bought this 26" Matco box with matching (full height) rollcab for $185. The roll cab is at a buddy's house so can't take pic. Seriously $2200 for that box is nuts.

Seller has a firm grip on it.
Here are some better combinations FS near me that have been lingering at much lower prices:

I'd be walking away, he's delusional. It may be worth what someone is willing to pay but I, nor you should be that someone.

Seller is way high and you can't tell condition for those pics. Also hugely important is are they friction slices or ball bearing and how do the drawers work and what condition are the drawer liners in. All factor into value of a box. Also, keys?

The tops like that, I get 200 to 300 for, mids might bring about the same unless BB slides and in real nice condition and would bring a little more.

Bottom 300 to 400 maybe, its not desirable.

Seller may get lucky and find a fish but 700 to 1100 would be fair.

For 2200 I can normally put you into a decent double bay bottom or an older double bay top and bottom

Seems like any time a setup with the middle boxes comes up, they are priced ridiculously high.

I personally love Snap on but I'd seriously be looking at Harbor Freight given that configuration and asking price. You can get these 27" boxes new, with choice of color and warranty for $650 ($600 if you're a member). It has nearly the same number of drawers as the Snap on configuration above at 1/3rd the price. It also has 40 yrs less wear and tear.
