Reasonably accurate, inexpensive capacitance meter?

Given what I've been working on recently & what I have in the pipeline, it's time I pick up a capacitance meter. I don't necessarily want to spend Fluke $, but would like to get something reasonably accurate. $20 cheapies are all over eBay but thought I'd ask here before buying one. My needs aren't terribly sophisticated (generally only AC voltage, DC voltage, resistance, & continuity) & I find that my various HF multimeters combined with my Simpson 260 have been enough for my needs until now.

I work mostly on household-type electrical, plus electronics (ham radios, etc.) plus I just did a capacitor replacement on my HVAC.

I know that you get what you pay for, but thought I'd ask here before spending anything. Any recommendations?

Given where you live and the massive competition on the Net. You can find a value priced Fluke meter pretty much on any budget.

What do you get with Fluke? Certified performance, warranty, and safety. The others simply follow in their foot steps, trying.

Its like any other tool out there: Spend your money once, and know its going to serve you for a life time.

Do you have a Fries near you?

There are a lot of HF type instruments out there....You might even find a used HP cap meter....

Do a search on GenRad....you might luck out...

Buy a multimeter from any of the big box stores. Pay $65-99. It will do all you want. I have a 340 series Ideal from Lowes. Nice little unit.
