Rebates for mini-split

I just found out my utility company has rebates for heat pumps based on SEER, up to $500 for 17 SEER, at least 2 ton. It doesn't ask if it for the house or what. Anybody else claimed a utility rebate on their garage mini-split?

I have not but if it isn't specified I think you would be good to go.

Are you in FEC or Sharyland? Good to know if FEC as I'm moving into their area.

Also I'd go for it if not specified.

It is FEC. It's on their website. They have rebates for other stuff too.

Id check the differance in equipment cost to get that high of a seer rating,you might be in for serious sticker shock.

Checked it out. It states Home Central Air Pumps. I'm thinking they may not consider a mini split as a central unit.

No rebates for window units or ductless units
