Rebuild kits for Craftsman Floor Jacks?

My question is; who thought it would be a good idea to put the model number and serial number on a sticker on the top of the jack?!

Mine got scraped off shoving it under some low vehicle at the time. The other jack was just given to me by someone I know and his sticker was falling off so he took it off; not knowing the data was on there. Any hidden spot where data might be gleamed?

Take 'em into a sears "hometown store" or whatever they are called? Just for fun; drag them into Lowes? What would you do with a couple non pumping floor jacks short of turning them in for scrap metal?

A quick search shows numerous rebuild kits for different Craftsman jacks, but for the price I'd probably buy a new HF

Unless your idea of fun is hauling around 75 pounds of metal, just to be met with blank stares, don't waste your time with Sears or Lowes, they won't have a clue.

If you really want to rebuild it, take the hydraulic unit apart, then work with one of the suppliers to match up a kit. If you have a caliper, it'll make the process easier.
