Hi Guys,
It´s my first Post in the Forum. I´m Hakan from Germany and i think it´s time to share my Garage "rebuilding Project". but a short Story to the House with Garage.
I hope you understand me, my English sometimes is not perfect, i use a mix from me and google translate. it´s terrible when i was for a long time not in the US for Holidays than i have a little bit Problems to find the words.
We buy our House on 2010,it is from 1927 but in the 60´s, 80´s, 90´s a few things are renovated. When we get the House we completely renovated everything inside, electricity, water,just everything, i can say it is a complete New House, the most important for me was, that i have done 90% alone.
Her is a Picture from Garage before i started my Project.
Time to Tear off the Old Stuff from 1960. funny on the first week, but it´s tough on the following weeks, when you go to work, come home and have to continue. I hat to tons of stone disposed in a container and pick up.
I used 4 containers and was shocked how much that is at the end. very tough.
i don´t want to share all the Picture, that was to much, but i think before and after is good to see on my pictures.
On this picture you can see the gravel which I have distributed around the house
On this picture you can see how I started to dredge.
(i hope dredge is the correct word)
Here you can see the fresh new concrete floor that was poured
on the back side you can see the old floor, I couldn´t remove it because otherwise the right would be tilted, so I left the stage because my car is in the front area and it´s no problem for me.
Here you can see the courtyard and the not so nice house at this time

on this picture you can see the 22 tons gravel from the other picture.
Here I have a small wall bricked on the left side so that the steel beam can rest on it later
Here you can see the two steel beams in 4.72x4.72 inch.
I've had to pick up the two myself. One weighs 264 pounds.
The next Step was the Roof, here are the wood beams
The roof consists of wooden beams and OSB boards on top
This layer seals the roof against water
With this final layer the roof remains 30-40 years waterproof,
there are a total of 3 layers with bitumen.
At this time i finished the frontside of my house and i get a new garage door.
After my roof and the frontside was finished I started with the electrical and the drywall construction inside the garage, Tv connection and water were also moved. here a few pictures from this step.
At this Time i have painted the Walls, connected the electric.
for the ceiling i use 21 LED G10 (7W) Spotlamps in the ceiling.
This Picture is from April 2016.
The backside from the Garage was planned for normal things.. Tv, Fridge
i painted the OSB Black, but actually i don´t have a picture. Sorry for the Chaos on the table and under the table.
Last week I ground the floor in the garage, while i want to use 2K Epoxy on my Floor.
First i want the original Racedeck but the Price in Europe shocked me
and i think Epoxy is good for me.
On the old ground backside the garage I have applied a leveling compound and eliminate some bumps, you can use Epoxy or tiles and more 24 hours later.
I found this Forum for 3 or 4 Years ago and see this cool Garage´s and i read so many Thread´s and see so many interesting things, that was my Motivation to start this Project. My Garage is not finished, but i think i´m on the right way.
My Garage have yet 32 square meters after rebuild. Good compromise.
