Hey folks,
I have recently acquired some older tools from my fiance's grandfather who has passed a few years ago. Grandma wants to start emptying the house and preparing to get something smaller to live in.
Anyhow, I have this circular saw Model # 315.10940. It runs, but is loud as all hell. I've replaced the blade because it looked like it was original. Would anyone know where I could acquire parts to rebuild this so I could use it for years to come? I've never rebuilt something like this, but I'm pretty handy. I figure bearings would be in order and maybe a repaint.

Also, I've got a 113.236111 scroll saw and 315.11970 tabletop drill press. But I feel like the scroll saw and circular saw are much more robust than the drill press. Sorry for the long story!

Cliff note - Where could I acquire parts to rebuild my newly acquired 315.10940 circular saw.

Without doing a bunch of searching I would say parts are no longer available unless the sears parts website has them. For bearings you can measure them and get some replacements. There was a good post about bearings just the other day. Search the forum for bearings and that post should show up.
