Acquired a Champion VR compressor with a 120 gallon tank and a R 30 pump. It was working when removed from service but it's evident that it's spitting some oil as there is residue all over the top of the compressor. I actually bought this for the tank. I have a new RV 15 that I intended to put on it. However upon researching I have realized that the R 30 is a highly regarded compressor. Like many of you I have always wanted a "nice" compressor but have made do with a five HP single phase 60 gallon CH for a really long time. Now it looks like I may be in a situation to realize that nice compressor setup and at this point I have $650 in the compressor and dryer as they sit. (not bad I hope) I would like any pics, tips, or tricks about the upcoming rebuild. Oh and the R 30 will be powered by a 7.5 HP motor. I am limited to single phase. FYI....I have the 10hp three phase motor for sale as well as the new RV 15 and possibly the 35 cfm air dryer as I have a new IR dryer already.
