I have a craftsman 150 drill press I am working on and wanted to rebuild the electric motor. It is a GE 1/3HP motor, model #5KC47AB1391X. I can't seem to find any information on getting replacement parts for it. Once I get it apart, I should be able to measure the bearings but I do not know where to find the rubber vibration mounts at the ends of the shaft. I have included a photo of the pieces I am looking for. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Taking it apart and cleaning it up should be pretty easy. I had to un solder a wire on mine to get it all the way apart. Bearings will be marked and should be easy to find. The rubber end might be easier to make and just looks like it hold the motor in place. you could probly machine it from a strong plastic.

A CM 150 deserves a better motor than that. Just junk it and get a decent rigid base motor for it. That old GE doesn't even look like has ball bearings, so not really suitable for casual rebuilding. Get a nice 1/2 hp that fits the pulley and enjoy the drill press.

If you visit the Chicago area, I can fix you up with a fresh US-made TEFC 1/2 hp for $25 (if you have a 5/8" ID pulley)

+1 If you cannot find a suitable Craftsman 1/2 hp / 3/4 or a good used Dayton 1/2 or 3/4. You can also order a new Grizzly 1/2 at a reasonable price.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll start looking for a replacement motor for my craftsman 150.

If I had to replace a motor on any piece of equipment right now, I'd be looking into 3-phase motors with a variable speed drive (the correct VSD converts 120/single phase to 240/3-phase and allows you to control the speed without changing pulleys).

A 1/2 HP motor with appropriate VSD wouldn't be too much.

Of course, if you are trying to keep a vintage look, you are going to have to do something else.
