Reccomend me a reversible impact driver

Looking for one of these reverseable impact driver set for rusty/seized screws

I like this Klein one, anyone know if its USA made? I'd like a US or EU made.

couldn't tell you if that one is made here or not. I own the matco version and the snapon version. the snappy is American made and I belive the matco is forign. if your looking for affordable the craftsman is affordable and carry's a good warrenty.

Can you tell me how snap on works shipping in Canada? Do you get a free shipping after a certain amount? Or do they gouge you through the bone?

that's the snapon version. the bits are the expensive part of the snap on drivers. I have the matco as well and I break the bits almost everytime I use it. I stoped using the matco bits and bought snapon bits for it and had a lot better luck not breaking them.

I have the Snap-On. I like it pretty good, but it's rare that I use it. If you're so inclined the HF impact driver is decent. It works just the same as the Snap On, though it is a little clumsy-er. Got it on sale for 4.99.

I have a lisle kit. Made in USA and seems to be decent quality.

I do plan to upgrade to the snap on bits if these break however.

I have used many including the Snap-On and I purchased this one and have been very happy with it.

most of the impact drivers work well. its mainly the bits that ****. I break them all the time. only ones I don't break a lot are the snappys. there just more heavy duty.

Porter Ferguson make both 3/8 and 1/2 drive and the bits hold up well. 100% made tools from Lowell corp. Also the only US made porta power still made here is Porter Ferguson.

I remember when I was young sharing a house with 2 motorcycle mechanics. We used to use the chrome Wassel brand impact drivers and they used to blow up on us fairly often. The Klein ones you referenced show the hardness specs of the various parts. That's encouraging to see those details laid out.

No longer. I had mine, USA made, warrantied out due to loose retaining ball bearing. Replacement was China-made I think. Definitely not USA. This may vary by location.

I like my craftsman nextec drill/driver kit. I use it all the time for accessory bolts, and smaller bolts I've already broken loose. Torque rating is good too. Battery lasts forever.

You just got lucky. Craftsman is out sourcing everything to china these days. It's a shame. I never was a fan of craftsman before but had respect for them now I won't buy there stuff if it was last on earth.

I've never seen one NOT reversible, it's not a switch per se, The inside has a cam and you get it past center and Voila, its reversed...

The one you posted looks like all the other US made ones I have, the Import's apparently used a different body pattern...

good link. Here is all the ones they carry. The Vessel 2500 looks like the ones we used to use in the 70's that we used to break. I mistakenly described them as "Wassel" earlier. They were cheap so we'd just buy another without blinking.
