Hi, I'm inthe planning stage of framing my 30x40. I'm planning on building a supply closet for electrical box, water heater, radiant heater set up and air compressor. Any thoughts on a good size? I'm mostly thinking about how deep to make it. I'm planning on making it a walk through from the entrance man door because the water and electrical box is already there.

Depends on the size of the equipment! We don't know what heating equipment you plan to use, the size of the water heater and if your compressor is a 2 HP vertical or a 120 gallon horizontal.

Figure out he equipment you want to put in the room, make sure you leave room to work on it and room to move the old equipment out and the new in when the time comes.

Excellent point ,my apologies. I'm hoping for tankless water heaters or boiler. For the co pressure I'm hoping for a 50-60 gallon stand up. I don't own any of it yet so I'm having trouble visualizing how much room those things might require.

If it is being inspected, make sure it meets code for free space in front of the electric panel and distance from any gas regulators if used for water/radiant heater.

I would wait until things are further along. It's an incidental space (if I understand this correctly) and it's easy to be miserly devoting space for this only to find the the space you saved doesn't really contribute much and would be more useful in "the closet". I'm talking about under 20 s/f.
There's no reason to do more than a mental generalized interior floor plan other than structural or utility (in slab) needs.
Good luck with your build 👍
